MWC 2016 – Vuokatti, Finland
Vuokatti, Finland will host the 2016 MWC from February 4-13. Interest is very high to date with quite a few skiers already committed. If there is a skier who wants to share a room, Rick Larush, who is from Alberta and competed in the Canadians in Huntsville and Kamloops, is looking for a person to share his room at the Vuokatti Sport Hotel. If you are interested, please contact Rick at firstname.lastname@example.org

POINTS SERIES RESULTS
We received suggestions from several people to include in the point series, skiers who did not ski 2 races at the Ontario Masters Championships. Accordingly, please "Points System" tab for revised points calculations. No skier is able to count more than 3 loppets. Therefore, skiers who skied 0 or 1 race at the Ontario Masters Championships have a maximum of 300 or 400 points.
Legend * - only 4 races have been tabulated
** - only 3 races have been tabulated
X - not included in point tabulation

Ontario Master skiers Wendy Grater and Katja Mathys successfully led a twelve day all-women ski touring expedition across Baffin Island’s Auyuittuq National Park in April. The team of 18 women, including Wendy and Katja started the 100 km journey on April 11. Pulling pulks (sleds) by skiing or with crampons (depending on snow/ice conditions), the group traveled across the Ashuyak Pass, crossing the Arctic Circle. Enduring howling winds up to 80 km per hour and temperatures hovering between -20 and -30 C, the journey was epic and an amazing experience. A short article is attached.
