October 2018 update
CANADIAN MASTERS 2019
Timmins, Ontario will be the site of the 2019 Canadian Masters. Timmins is know for great snow conditions, has excellent trails, and warm hospitality. They have had a number of ‘big’ events at their Porcupine Ski Runners club, and we’re sure the weekend will run seamlessly.. This event will take place February 8 - 10, 2018 which is three weeks before the MWC 2019 so it should provide an excellent tune up for Norway. You can checkout the details on the Timmins here: https://www.porcupineskirunners.com/
Also, since the Canadian Masters is in Ontario for 2019, this will also serve as our Ontario Championships. We will have awards for the Ontario skiers in the event as well.
MWC 2019 – BEITOSTOLEN, NORWAY
Approximately 100 Canadians have accommodations booked for the MWC in Norway. If anyone is still planning on going but do not have accommodations, please contact the MWC2019 organizing committee asap. You can find the information here: https://www.beitoworldcup.com/masters-world-cup-2019/
This will be the largest Canadian contingents to participate in Europe. We have a number of Ontario skiers that have booked accommodation and are planning to attend. If you are planning to attend, and have not booked your accommodation through Bruce LeGrow and the Canadian Team, please contact Wendy Grater with your name and where you are staying, so we can add you to the Canadian Team list, and know where to contact you while in Beitostolen.
There is also the option of staying on and skiing in the famous Birkebeiner Ski Loppet, which takes place the Saturday following the MWC event. It should be a great time of skiing!
